Galbraith Laboratories, Inc. Achieves ISO 17025 Accreditation

Knoxville, TN (October 16, 2009) Galbraith Laboratories, Inc., an industry leader in elemental analysis, has been certified to ISO 17025 standards by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for Chemical Testing. The scope of this certification includes 40 methods spanning the areas of Metals Analysis, Chemical Analysis, Combustion Analysis, Consumer Product Safety Testing, and Preparation Methods. This achievement emphasizes Galbraith’s commitment to providing customers with services of the highest quality standards. In addition to a comprehensive Quality Program, the ISO 17025 certification represents an internationally recognized benchmark for management and technical competence. Test data from an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory is recognized globally by regulatory organizations, safety organizations, manufacturers, and industry in general. The ISO standards provide a high level of confidence that an organization can continuously deliver services that meet customers’ expectations and requirements.

Brenda Thornburgh, President of Galbraith Labs said, “Attaining this certification is one of many steps being taken to provide the highest level of service and technical competence to our customers.” Earlier this year, Galbraith announced implementation of a new Reportable Results System (RRS) – a customized software program to increase operational efficiency by providing rapid report generation, increased analytical detail on laboratory reports, electronic delivery of results, and the availability of multiple report formats. Additionally, a new and innovative Management Review Program was instituted for management review of the quality management system.
